In the 1940's, a visionary concept in the Mid Ohio Valley was developed. This idea provided services for children and adults with disabilities, helping them to maximize their abilities and live purposeful lives. This was the beginning of the Wood County Society.
All of our services are made possible by individuals like you.
Our only major fund-raiser, "Celebration for Kids" Telethon, is conducted each year in March.
In addition, we receive funds from United Way Alliance of the Mid-Ohio Valley, businesses, memorials, community grants and individuals.
All donations are tax exempt.
