The Wood County Society is honored to collaborate with the Parent/Educator Resource Training Center of Wood County in providing training, information, resources and a lending library along with the Everybody Counts Program.
The mission of the Parent/Educator Resource Training Center is to empower all families and educators through support, information and training to work in partnership for each child’s educational success and social, physical and emotional well-being. The Parent/Educator Resource Training Center completes their mission by: promoting a work relationship between parents, educators and our community, provides training for parents and promote an understanding of the special education process in our schools, obtains information and consults with parents to provide direction related to educational issues and community services, provides emotional support through parent-to-parent “sharing”, offers training workshops to educators for building positive parent/school relationships, maintains a lending library of current educational resources.
The Wood County Society provides resources and educational materials for Everybody Counts! and the Lending Library. Through this effort, the Parent-Education Resource Center can assist and provide the following training sessions:
