Post COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on our planning and our strategy for Camp ECHO 2024. We are taking precautions with sanitation and handwashing to ensure cleanliness and disinfection. For the safety and well-being of everyone who attends Camp ECHO, Wood County Society is encouraging that everyone has the vaccination (and booster) for COVID-19. If there is a medical reason as to why you cannot receive the vaccination, please contact me at your earliest convenience to discuss this in person. Wood County Society is committed to ensuring the health and well-being of everyone involved – including our participants and our families.
Some parents and caregivers have asked about donating to Camp ECHO. All services and programs of Wood County Society are free. We are funded by the generosity of individuals in our community who give to our Telethon each year and through grants from the United Way Alliance of the Mid-Ohio Valley. In 2023, the cost to send one participant to Camp ECHO was approximately $725. If you wish to donate, please send a check payable to Wood County Society with the application. Donations are not required and do not guarantee admittance to Camp ECHO 2024.
Acceptance letters will be mailed out by April 10th, 2024. Please understand, with the high volume of applications, not all applicants will be accepted and will be placed on a waiting list for the following year.
